Second Thoughts....
First off wanted to say thank you to everyone who is now following me, I will be sure to follow your blog as well!!! It has definitely turned my chin up because these past few days I have been having some serious doubts. And honestly reading too much online about it. I have two little boys and they are the reason I want to do this, to be with them as long as possible and be healthy and able to keep up with them. I have read alot of discouraging things about things possible of happening while getting or being banded, and as i said before I am a hyper hypo to the tenth degree!! I know the possibilities and the percentages are low but the chance is still scary to me. And this liquid diet is pretty brutal before hand!! But again Thank you for the support it really means alot!:)

ReplyDeleteDon't listen to the discouraging stuff you read, focus on the good - and this is a great decision you're making for yourself and your family!
ReplyDeleteNew follower, too, by the way! :)

I'm right there with you being a hyper hypo! The thing to remember about the negative stuff: yes, it's always a possibility, BUT people are always going to be much more vocal when something goes wrong than when everything is smooth sailing. I mean I still worry that something will happen, but I figure until then (IF it happens) I'm going to do my best to rock the band and lose the weight, and that's really all you can do :)
ReplyDeleteAnother new Follower here!!

I agree with the others, don't focus on the negative, just the positive, which is why I stopped reading on Lap Band Talk, etc, too many negatives. Banded Bloggers are so much more supportive and positive!!
Good luck on the Surgery, we will all be waiting to here that you are home and ok, so post when you can after Surgery!!
Good job in putting your fears right out there - but I'm with Ronnie - focus on all the good stuff!! I was unable to follow you, but will try again!
ReplyDeleteIt's just like everything else.. Folks love to whine and complain when things aren't going well - but then disappear when things are going great.. But not here in the blogosphere! We are one big 'ole supportive family who encourage, push, hug and care! Just put it out there, focus on the good and know that we're all here behind you!
ReplyDeleteHi Brooke, I am new to this as well. I just started my blog. I will be banded Sept. 15th. I look forward to following your progress. Good Luck on your surgery. Take care.
