Two week Band-iversary:)
It is crazy to think how fast two weeks go, and how good I feel(minus kidney stones). Today was the first day I have gotten to eat something substansial and let me tell you it was so delicious. I had mashed potatoes and gravy. Yum!! I have realized that I still have some eating issues. I feel hungry and I just want to shove whatever and however much i can into my mouth! I am not quite sure how to get a hold on this but I am working on a few things that will hopefully help. Now that I am feeling better I want to start #1 excercising . Recently bought a wii and have some very fun games such as zumba and ea active trainer that will hopefully keep me interested! #2 eat more protein which has been hard during this liquid phase and I really hate protein supplement powder. ugh #3 Journaling my food intake to keep me accountable and #4 Water, Water, Water! So hopefully these things will help me stay on track!:) Hope everyones day is going splendid!:)xoxo

Sounds like you are doing great! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Bandiversary!! What a great feeling it is to eat some "normal" food after only liquids for awhile!
ReplyDeleteHappy Bandiversary to you...glad you feel good. I can only dream of mashed potatoes and gravy right now!!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2 weeks!
ReplyDeleteI want to do the same thing shovel food in my mouth and don't pay attention to how fast I eat at times. What I have started doing is I take a bite, chew slowly and while I am chewing I put down the fork or spoon. That has helped me out a lot. Plus I keep an eye on the time. I allow 20 minutes to eat, after 20 minutes the food goes away no matter what. What I have noticed is if I chew slower, put that fork down while chewing and keep an eye on the time I fill up faster plus after 20 minutes I am full and content. It;s a learning process trust me!
I remember when I could have mushy foods for the first time, mashed potatoes and gravy were heaven!
Best of luck to you!
Happy 2 Weeks hon!! You've totally got the right of it, and yeah, those first couple weeks are really tough to get enough calories and protein. I remember drinking a lot of milk and making protein shakes with milk, choco prot powder and a tbsp of peanut butter. It was a bit easier. I also blended chunky soups until they were smooth and strained them.
ReplyDeleteNumber 1. yay! New Follower!
ReplyDeleteNumber 2. I hate protein powders
Number 3. I love my Wii
I don't like protein powders either. That's why I never bought them. I love muscle milk light. It comes in a 100 calorie container and it contains 15g of protein. It doesn't have that medicinal or protein taste either.
ReplyDeleteI use myfitnesspal for my journals. You can use it a pc or download the app for your phone. It has almost every food on there and if it doesn't you can add it into the database.
Happy Bandiversary and Good Luck!
I nominated you for an award - check out my blog! xx
ReplyDeleteHave you tired the Unjury protein yet? I love it.
